Last week I had the opportunity to attend a seminar on understanding chrionic pain. Due to EU regulations, as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner I should not use the term 'pain', since this is deemed to be a medicinal claim. This is fine, but the fact remains that clients who come to me will very often be suffering with 'pain' as a result of a number of potential factors.
So what can my approach be? I cannot claim to treat pain, but I can make recommendations to promote and encourage optimal health. This may include identifying and removing specific triggers while introducing nutritious foods and supplements to benefit the body systems, including the joints, muscles, digestive and hormonal processes, indeed, where ever the 'pain' may be experienced. Knowing how nutrients work in the body enables me to make recommendations that may help clients to move closer to that goal of physical vitality.
